An interesting invention, this chair can fold into many configurations. The girl that sits on it is kind of hot too
HUBO-FX1 is a robot designed to walk naturally, carrying a person (or whatever) weighing up to 220 pounds. The lower part of the robot has legs that walk somewhat like a human, while the upper portion sports a chair.
Check out this amazing robot!. It walks on four legs, and if pushed, can regain its own balance and continue running normally. It can run on rough terrain and do sidesteps. Sorry ASIMO, you have been OWNED.
I can’t remember missing a show due to a crash or any other problem…until this week. The Event: The biggest soccer match of the year (that’s actually televised in the US), the UEFA Cup Finals Championship. Of course it is on mid-day, but no problem, I set my Media Center a week in advance.

Google is getting huge and maybe even out of hand, but this is awesome. This is a number to definitely keep in your speed dial.
Much of the technology behind this relatively inexpensive humanoid robot came from a life-sized research robot costing over $170,000. The 14-inch tall bot can walk on two legs, and can also assume supine or prone positions and stand up from either.
T-Mo has confirmed shipment of the Athena or Ameo as it’s being dubbed to the UK and Germany. The Deutschland can get theirs for 500 Euro in March. No word on price or release date in the UK but expect price and shipment to be around the same for the Brits. Where does that leave us?

“Astromedia is a German science gizmo company that specializes in die-cut cardboard widgets: astrolabes, sextants, telescopes, etc. But this new one takes the biscuit — a Stirling engine that works on the heat from a cup of coffee. Apparently, if you set it on a frozen compress (”Setzen Sie ihn auf eine Kaltkompresse…”), it runs for hours.”
Just rotate it by 180 degrees, and read by yourself what you get… I guess somebody might get sacked or even chair’ed for this, at Microsoft.
Secured your way to the leader of the office prankster’s chair with this weapon.. errr, toy…. Airzooka (air bazooka) blasts off compressed air that will send your colleague right to the next cubicle.
Oh those russians. They’re painted our mice and keyboards with their folk themes and Christian Icons. And even a common plastic keyboard became a wooden one…
Be sanitary and green at the same time with this unique gadget.
We’ve heard of robot arm-driven rides before, but this guy is seriously taking it to the next level. Watch as some brave soul in an anonymous factory floor tames a giant yellow robot arm and rides it to glory as family and friends look on admiringly, giggling uncontrollably in an giddy orgy of industrial robot exploitation.
Tech Digest has rounded up 64 of the coolest robots in the world, and is putting them head-to-head in a virtual knockout competition to see which one’s best. It includes the obvious ones like Honda Asimo, Robosapien and iRobot’s products, but also some mad Japanese bots too - robonurses, sex club touts, beer-dispensers…
A North Carolina company that developed the “tornado in a cup” Vortex Regenerative Air Movement technology took it one step further by installing the VRAM device to a mobile platform robot – one that crawls along the walls in any direction, even making the transition from vertical to horizontal surfaces.
Gulp. Meet the 5-finger, robotic hand. We don’t know much about it, and quite honestly, we’re resisting our every urge to cower in the darkness of our thumb-sucking fear.
A man made this chair using ‘pop tops’ and pull ties. Doesn’t look too comfy to me.
The energy alternative company Solio will release a hand-held solar battery recharger on October 15, 2007. The sleek new design is for use on virtually all electronic devices. This is the first luggage-to-seating arrangement we’ve come across. While the others cross functions in the same space (like the living room), this quaint concept is more of a comfortable suitcase, or chair with wheels that holds a bunch of clothes sometimes.
“What did you say, Bill? You want some of me?” I asked. I filled my cheeks with air, positioned my lips on the mouthpiece, and expelled my breath with a sudden ‘umph’! The rubber, suction-cup-tipped dart flew through the air, evilly reflecting the florescent light from above.
Want to use your laptop in bed but can’t stand the feeling of the hot, heavy metal on your legs? Build this simple table to set the laptop on while your legs go under!
OXO’s kitchen gadget for taking corn off the cob combines a mouse-shaped handle with a blade and measuring cup. The only other way to get corn off the cob is with a huge knife (fun but not safe) or manually with your chompers. (Which is not a good idea if you’re meaning to spit it back into a communal salad bowl.)
Basically, its a chair with a Pacman shaped hood with built a built in MP3 player which plays your tunes via speakers or headphones, pop in your memory card with your favourite tunes, and relax whilst your coworkers do all the work.
These are very rude chairs. They change colors when people sit on them. The darker the red color is on the chair the heavier the person sitting on them is.
